After a few days of cold weather and even some May snow, the sun came out today and we ventured back into the yard. While my boys were enjoying the fresh air and exploring their toys, I picked a few weeds that were flowering in the grass... I gave a dandylion to my two-year-old and ended up with a quotable conversation, which I will share for your amusement.
Me: "Here's a flower for you."
Toddler boy: "It's a dandylion."
Me: "That's right. A dandylion is a kind of flower."
Toddler boy: "It looks like a flower but it's a kind of lion."
